This is the second release on Montreal imprint FACECONTROL Audio Industries, from label owner Sean Kosa.

The EP opens with ‘Bass Control’ a cheeky play on words of the label name, it’s an electro influenced 4/4 track aimed at open minded dance floor creatures who play deep into cavernous nightmornings. Remixes are provided by champions. The mysterious VXR showers us with a minimal cold wave interpretation while the Petey Pile remix re-imagines the tune as a jacking ‘wonky-garidge-on-acid’ cut up.

Track 2, ‘Cathedral’ combines tough as nails drums with a liquid, funky bass line and hallucinogenic templar organs which modulate into a melancholic lead line. ‘No More Time’ closes the EP with stark industrial drums and long, evolving melodies. A 303 acid line makes it’s welcome appearance through the haze of droning synth lines while percussion sizzles like electrical power lines shorting out. This could be the soundtrack to the last sunset.
